What is the Modeling Communication Ecologies project?

The concept of communication ecology has entered mainstream discourse, but what it means can be vague: is it a metaphor, model, or set of specific processes? Center researchers are developing new frameworks of communication ecologies that attempt to move from metaphor to model. We draw on a broad range of techniques, including cases studies, community network analysis, and agent-based modeling. Led by Lew Friedland and Nakho Kim.
